Driving Digital

Leveraging new technologies

In 2014, we incorporated the very latest technologies into our clients’ meetings, events and congresses.

These technologies not only increased efficiencies and improved the environmental impact of our events, they also created a more engaging experience for event attendees.

Our iPad solutions and event apps tracked audience engagement and session popularity, enabling clients to better define content and improve return on engagement for their next events.

In terms of cost-efficiencies, our hybrid events generated savings and improved return on investment, while our content dissemination solutions enabled a number of associations to create new revenue streams and amplify the reach of their congress content.

Aside from driving tangible business results, in 2014 we also used technology to inspire and connect people emotionally.

By employing the latest techniques – from gesture technology to 3D mapping – we helped our clients to amaze audiences all around the world with incredible experiences.

I Light Marina Bay

Inspiring Audiences with Magical 3D Mapping

  • The Challenge

I Light Marina Bay, Asia’s only sustainable light art festival, showcases innovative content, the intelligent use of lighting
as well as an international line-up of creative talents.

Every year since 2010, I Light Marina Bay has transformed Singapore’s Marina Bay waterfront into a magical space of light and colour to celebrate both public spaces and creativity.

Looking to our unparalleled AV, technical and projection mapping solutions, in 2014 MCI Group brand Dorier was engaged by artist Justin Lee to support his installation: Celebration of Life.

  • The Solution

Dorier’s incredible 3D mapping technologies can turn almost any surface into a dynamic video display, including the challenging lotus-shaped ArtScience museum onto which
the artist’s installation was to be projected.

As a key objective of I Light Marina Bay was to encourage artists to use recyclable materials and adopt energy-efficient lighting technology, Dorier also helped the artist to effectively manage resources and minimise energy use in the creation of the light art installation.

Working hand-in-hand with the artist, Dorier ensured that Celebration of Life would be every bit as magical in reality
as it was in his imagination.

  • Results

The 2014 festival featured 28 innovative sustainable light art installations from around the world, of which Justin Lee’s was one of the largest and most prominent.

The artist was delighted with the final result of the installation, which was admired by over 685,000 local and international visitors over the course of a three-week period.
